Terms of service

These terms are the agreement between you and Socials Made Different (“we”, “us”) for using our website and app. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. The beta

Socials Made Different is in an invite-only beta. It’s free to use during the beta. Features will change, things may occasionally break, and we may add paid plans later. We’ll tell you before anything you use starts costing money, and you’ll never be charged without agreeing first.

2. Your account

• You need to be at least 16 and use your real name and an email address you control.
• Keep your password safe. You’re responsible for what happens under your account.
• Invite codes are for the people they were given to. Please don’t post them publicly.
• Tell us right away if you think someone else has accessed your account.

3. Your content

Everything you put in your workspace (clients, posts, captions, notes, logos, photos and other files) stays yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so we can run the service for you and the people you share with. We don’t claim ownership and we don’t use it to advertise.

4. Your clients

You’re responsible for having permission to use your clients’ names, logos, brand materials and any information you add about them, and for following your agreements with them. Don’t upload anything you don’t have the right to use.

5. Sharing

When you share a client, the people you add can see and change that client’s information, posts, notes and files. Only share with people you trust. The person who added the client is its owner and can remove teammates or delete the client, which deletes it for everyone.

6. Acceptable use

Please don’t:

• break the law, or upload content that infringes someone else’s rights;
• upload harmful, hateful or illegal content, or malware;
• try to access accounts or data that aren’t yours, or probe, overload or disrupt the service;
• scrape, copy or resell the service, or use it to build a competing product;
• use it to send spam or deceive people.

7. AI features

Some features, like Idea studio and weekly trends, will use AI to suggest ideas. Suggestions can be wrong or unoriginal, so review them before you publish anything. You’re responsible for what you post.

8. Our service

We work hard to keep Socials Made Different running and your data safe, but the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Socials Made Different doesn’t post to social networks for you, and we’re not responsible for the results of your content or for third-party platforms.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data. Our total liability for any claim about the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim or $50.

10. Ending things

You can stop using the service and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that break these terms or put the service or other people at risk. If we ever shut down the service, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice and a way to export your data.

11. Privacy

Our privacy policy explains what we collect and how we use it.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product grows. If a change is meaningful, we’ll let you know in the app or by email before it takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arkansas, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Arkansas, unless the law where you live requires otherwise.
